Hey there, I'm Ben.
I'm a brand & visual designer, and my design journey started well over a decade ago when I... ahem acquired a copy of Photoshop CS3.
Fast forward a bit, and I powered through my degree in just three years at Johnson & Wales in Providence, RI. After graduation, my internship turned full-time gig at a small local agency gave me my start in the real design world.
Then, just as the world was shutting down for the pandemic, I landed a job at iRacing. Talk about timing, huh? I started out in marketing, but after a year or so, I made the leap to product design. Now I spend my days problem-solving and crafting experiences for over 250,000 sim-racers.
I feel incredibly lucky to be working in this field. I get to do something that brings joy not just to me, but to all these passionate racers out there.
Thanks for stopping by and letting me bend your ear for a bit. If you want to talk racing, gaming, or debate the merits of your favorite font, drop me a line. I'm always up for a good chat!

UX & Visual Designer
At iRacing, I helped establish the UX department, recruiting top talent to form a collaborative design team. We're streamlining the design-to-development workflow, collaborating on a React-based design system that has significantly improved efficiency.
User-centric design is at the core of our approach. I own the user experience for major features, conducting both quantitative and qualitative research to inform our decisions. By maintaining a close connection with our community, we design features that consistently meet and often exceed user expectations.

Graphics & Creative Manager
I spearheaded the marketing design and branding initiatives, establishing our first internal brand asset library and informal brand guidelines. This effort ensured design consistency across all digital and print touchpoints, elevating our overall marketing presence.
To expand our design capabilities, I hired and mentored a junior designer, nurturing a growing design team. This experience in team building and leadership paved the way for my transition into a UX leadership role, where I could apply my skills on a broader scale.
