UX & Visual Design Lead
I'm a designer that solves the problem beneath the problem.
At iRacing, I lead product design across the launcher and in-game experience working with engineering from early product definition through implementation.
I’m at my best when the problem is messy, the system has a decade of baggage, and design has to work hand-in-hand with engineering to untangle it.
Trajectory
2022 - Now
UX & Visual Design Lead @ iRacing
I lead end-to-end product design across iRacing’s major feature work. I joined the product team as its first dedicated designer and helped establish a UX practice around it, adding research, shared systems, and a more deliberate product-design process. Today, I work directly with engineering and product to define features, resolve system-level problems, and carry designs through implementation.
2020 - 2022
Graphics & Creative Manager @ iRacing
Built our first internal brand library from the ground up, then hired and mentored the designer who helped it scale across every touchpoint.
2019 - 2020
Graphic & Web Designer @ ICON Advertising
Cut my teeth taking agency projects from rough sketch to final production across branding, print, and web.

About Me
Hey 👋, I'm Ben. I got started with a questionably acquired copy of Photoshop CS3 in high school and have been designing things ever since.
My background is in graphic design, which probably explains why I care as much about the last 5% of visual execution as I do about how the system underneath it works.
These days, most of my time is spent designing software for 350,000+ sim racers.
